Seven years ago, I was an overweight construction worker. I wasn’t happy with the way I looked or felt. I saw people around me aging. I decided I had to start a diet and I needed to start working out. But I couldn’t be consistent on my own initiative, and I really didn’t know what to do. I needed someone to guide me: I needed a personal trainer. Deirdra of Fitness Defined, provided me with a great starting point to ease me into personal training without being overwhelming. I kept a food diary and followed the Zone Diet. I cut out all of the crap…sodas, pizza, etc, but I did so gradually. I went from 210 to 175 lbs., and from 25 – 10% body fat. Now that I’ve reached my goals, I workout three or four times a week and continue to improve my diet.
